Dancelife Music, Dance Music United is a Cooperation between D-Sylz BV, a holding company of the music rights of the Dancelife Music Catalogue and The Source, one of the largest independent Music aggregators in the business and Casa musica a multi-media company aimed at the Dance Industry.

The Goal

Dancelife Music is aimed at Music Makers & Music Users. The goal is to conserve the specialized dance music for the future generation of dancers by making the music available on all exploitation formats, offering not only Dancelife music but also offering other labels that are specialized in dance music. Giving these labels an opportunity to use the services of The Source and offering the full specialized dance music catalogue to interested Parties like; Dance Teachers Organisations, TV Shows, Dance Competition Organizers, Streaming platforms, Download webshops and other projects that look for specialized dance music.

Dancelife Music

Dancelife started to produce specialized dance music in the early 80’s together with Walter Laird & Nico Gomes. New technology was already high on the priority list as they were the first company in the dance industry to convert their productions from vinyl to CD. After introducing chart music with strict tempo music (1986) for social dancing, they introduced original tracks with adjusted speed for the dance sport in 1993. As a trend setting company they kept on innovating and introduced the first specialized remix for dancing in 2002. It was at this time that they also acquired the catalogue of their biggest competitor Tanz Orchester Klaus Hallen. In 2008 they offered their catalogue, as first in the dance industry, to be downloaded from portals like iTunes. Together with The Source all newly developed music platforms across the world were provided with specialized dance music. In 2017 a new project started called MUSIC4.DANCE, this is a B2B streaming platform aimed at the dance studios across the world. It is the first and only platform which offers commercially usable dance music.

The Source is an independent technology and music business services company based in the Netherlands, with offices in the UK, Italy and Eastern Europe. At The Source, all your content is stored in a secure and reliable digital archive, with integral metadata management. All content and repertoire is managed via tailor-made software and databases, accessible and editable online via The Source Content Editor. We also offer in-house CD mastering and DVD/Blu-ray authoring, as well as the digital or analogue format transfer you need.

The Source can stream a concert from anywhere in the world and stream it globally or to targeted territories. The concert can then be made available via our online store as a VOD (Video On Demand). We can be involved as much or as little as you like, and we can also provide a back-end service to enable you to stream via your own website.

The Source has over 200,000 tracks available for licensing, with rights available for CD, DVD, Broadcast, Digital, Downloads, Streaming, Ringtones, TV, Films, Synchronisation, etc.
